"Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time "
These words by H.W.Longfellow perfectly describe the ideals the Google Student Club at SAOE upholds. We are here to leave a mark on the sands of time....
So are you willing to be a part of our journey????
Here's something you must know before beginning the journey--
MEET SHIKHA DUGGAL - OUR GOOGLE STUDENT AMBASSADOR!!!
Now coming back to what GSAs do.Basically, they act as liasons between the Google and the university in order to take the knowledge of internet and Google to the grass-root level. They are mainly responsible for heading the various events, workshops, seminars, fun activities that achieve the above mentioned goals.
What is CORE TEAM?
You can not punch some one with a single finger.Join all your fingers, fold them and then you can serve some one with a delicious punch. In the same way to keep every moment pumping and punching, the GSAs need a team of efficient members who can help the GSAs to get everything in the right place. So here are the names and snapshots introducing the CORE TEAM.
1. Shikha Duggal (GSA)
2. Anushka Bhat (Public Relations head)
A few words by our PR head
Being
a part of GSC (Google Student Club) is a dream come true..!!!!!!
Getting
an opportunity this big has been the most precious gift of my life.
I
would really like to thank Shikha and all my teammates for having faith in me and
believing that I could be the PR head for the team.
The
experience so far has been really amazing and awesome. Amazing in the sense
that we all share a really good rapport with each other and the team didn't
take much time to gel in.I would always cherish the moment
of my selection in the team .As I am enjoying being part of the team, I understand the responsibilities that come
with it.
My
agenda is to give hundred percent to the team and make this journey smooth and
successful. The following quote summarizes my aim.......
“I
am a member of a team, and I rely on the team, I defer to it and sacrifice for
it, because the team, not the individual, is the ultimate champion.”
“The
secret to success is good leadership, and good leadership is all about making the lives of your team members or
workers better”
We
all are working as one within the team and this would not have been possible
without Shikha’s efforts and her dedication towards her work. She clearly sets
an example and we all look up to her.
I
would like to thank all my team members for their love and support
and
for constantly encouraging me.
“Coming together is a beginning.
Keeping together is progress.
Working together is success.”
Keeping together is progress.
Working together is success.”
Be
inspired.........Stay
crazy........;)and
Go Googley....!!!!!!!!!!

truly an amazing feeling. I feel privileged to be a part of the team. Being

4. Karan Arora (Logistics Manager)
A few words by our LM
Lost in the crowd, i never knew what i could be. Being part of GSC was the turning point in my life. I never knew how it felt to be part of something big and meaningful, until GSC came in my life. On this awesome journey of being selected into core team to be logistic head, my life is not the same anymore. GSC has boosted my confidence to a very high level as compared to before . I met a new me. The experience I am gaining, working in GSC is priceless.
The most amazing experience that I have had till now is working for Google Student Club's activity when I taught my house keeper basics of internet. She was very enthusiastic about learning and she also enjoyed when I made her watch videos on YouTube This experience taught me the joy internet can bring to people and I am very happy to be a member of core team of Google Student Club.
The best thing I have learnt working as a part of Google Student Club is to work efficiently in team to accomplish tasks that can't be achieved alone.
Unity is strength... when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved And i would like to thank Shikha for her help and guidance so that we are able to work as a team efficiently ,she is very supportive and a very beautiful human being.
So “Stay Raw Use Google because Google Is Awesome”

6. Anikit Sahni (Extended Team Manager)
Experience
as a part of GSC
It
was a very normal day of my college.....A
boy studying in T.E Computer Engg. in a college in Pune,a normal
conservative,silent kind of person.
It
was my short break, when I saw the poster on one of the billboards in my college
calling students for the GSC interviews the next day .I
thought over it and reasoned out why I could not be a person who has the talent
to do something for the world, for himself and people around him .
So,
a shy but determined Anikit Sahni went for the interview. On
the day of the interview I was very nervous about what they will be asking me
,how am i going to perform . Seeing a healthy line for the interview I got even
more nervous. A day later I get a mail on my Gmail account stating I was selected
for the GSC membership .It meant a lot to me.
That
very moment ,I added a few more attributes into me implicitly they were
belief, determination and confidence(though it wasn't very much there still).
Then
days passed and my journey in this new life began .I
learned a lot in a week .I came to know about my hidden talents .I
saw the fire of hard work, effort ignite in me and with my skill-set I was being
able to do much more. It actually transformed me . It was like the cocoon had
broken apart for letting the butterfly of life to spread its wings and fly into
the sky up high and higher.
Now,
after 3 weeks in the GSC ,I am a more confident, hardworking, fluent person ,feel
more free,a team-worker and a more responsible person. Also these transitions
did get noticed by the GSA an the other administrative people ,as they did make
me an elite member of the core team, my 1st promotion .... It felt
like Wooooooooow !!!.
And
guess what we are planning our first event soon ....... Another opportunity is
coming my way and I am sure I am not going to leave any stone unturned to make
it a grand success (so are all my teammates.).
I
guess someone has rightly said it takes
only drops of water to fill an ocean and every drop is precious and unique.....
Thank
you.Signing
off,
STAY GOOOOOOOGLEY !!!!!!!......
